In steel structure construction, IBR roof sheeting has become a standard component for roofing and side cladding in commercial, industrial and residential buildings. IBR sheeting provides a cost-effective, versatile and durable material well suited to small and large steel structures including warehouses, factories, offices and hangars.
Inverted Box Rib (IBR) is a square fluted profile with an effective covering width of 686mm, available from a number of reputable suppliers in South Africa. Today, the majority of projects B&T Steel complete throughout Southern Africa include IBR sheeting to provide insulation from the elements (rain, snow, dust and wind), offer flexibility and versatility in design, and create a modern aesthetically pleasing finish to steel structures of all sizes and dimensions.
When using IBR, the recommended minimum pitch is 7,5 degrees for roof slopes in excess of 30m and 5 degrees for slopes less then 30m
B&T Steel offer IBR roof sheeting in galvanised steel or Chromadek® available in fourteen colour options. View colour options HERE.
